AL-LEAN™ | Technology & Product Innovation
Our patented alloy innovation opens up new possibilities in aluminum extrusion. With a lower silicon and magnesium content compared to standard 6060 alloys, AL-LEAN™ enables extrusion at lower pressures.
This creates potential for weight and cost savings, higher productivity, lower CO₂ emissions, more complex geometries, longer tool life, and improved surface quality—across a wide range of applications.
CIRCAL | Sustainable & Low-Carbon Manufacturing
CIRCAL production combines technology and processing innovations into an integrated production route enabling production of low-carbon aluminium based on end-of-life scrap. While CIRCAL production is based on established processes for scrap pre-treatment, melting and casting, it adds with Hydro’s LiBS sorter “HySort” and the CDM (Combined Delacquering and Melting) technologies key process innovations to build a unique setup regarding variety of usable scrap source and scrap processing efficiency.
