March 15 Hydro announced that to preserve jobs, 400 employees working in Hydro’s mining operations in Paragominas will be on collective vacations for 15 days. An additional second group of around 370 employees will be on collective vacations from April 17.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Extractive Industry Workers Union in the state of Pará and Amapá (STIEAPA) have both been informed about the decision.
