The man worked as a crane driver at the plant and the accident happened in relation to moving products at the production line inside the plant. Ambulance, police and other authorities came quickly to the site and the operations at the plant was halted.
“It was with great sorrow that I received news that an employee died while working for Hydro. Our thoughts go out to the relatives and colleagues,” says President & CEO Svein Richard Brandtzæg.”
The accident will be investigated by the authorities and Hydro will also launch an internal investigation.
